2.关于航海的英语
1.航海术语weigh anchor的意思并不是指称（weigh）一下锚（anchor）的重量，而是指“起锚”。
2.短语pipe down 也是如此。Pipe down的意思是“静下来、使安坐”，现在的家长或老师常用它来训斥那些不守规矩、闹哄哄的小孩。
但许多人却不知道，这个短语也来源于航海业。Pipe 指的是商船水手长的小哨子。
水手长可以用它吹出不同的音调，向水手们传达命令。当水手长吹响哨子的时候，就表示让水手们停工或解散队列。
当水手们离开之后，甲板上就突然变得寂静起来。后来，pipe down 逐渐变成了航海行话，意指“安静下来、闭嘴”。
